Job summary

Metaltech Precision Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced CNC Turner/ Programmer/ Setter to join our precision manufacturing team. You will program, set and operate CNC turning centres to produce complex components to demanding tolerances while supporting continuous improvement.

Five years’ experience in CNC turning, strong programming and setup skills, and knowledge of AS9100 and GD&T are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum five years’ experience in CNC Turning/ Programmer/ Setter
Strong CNC programming, setting and process optimisation skills
Experience in Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Automotive or other high-precision manufacturing sectors
Excellent understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T and precision measurement
Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards
Proactive, reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team
Offline programming experience (Mastercam, Edgecam or Fusion 360)
Experience with continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing

Responsibilities

Program, set and operate CNC turning centres using Fanuc and Mazatrol controls
Manufacture complex components on 2-axis, multi-axis and mill-turn lathes
Interpret engineering drawings and manufacture components to tight tolerances
Select tooling and optimise programs to maximise quality and productivity
Machine a variety of materials including stainless steels, aluminium, titanium and exotic alloys
Carry out first-off and in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment in accordance with AS9100 requirements
Support Lean/6S initiatives and maintain high housekeeping standards
Work closely with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues
