Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is assisting a Ferndown engineering employer to recruit a CNC Turner for a late shift on a four-day week. You will set and operate Fanuc-controlled CNC turning machines, read engineering drawings, set tooling and offsets, and perform first-off inspections to ensure tight tolerances.

OTE £55,000 with overtime at time and a half. Candidates should have experience with CNC turning, setting and operating machines, and be commutable to Ferndown.

£22 - £24 per hour (OTE £55,000) + Overtime at Time and a Half

Are you a CNC Turner with setting and operating experience, looking to work a 4 day week on the late shift for a thriving engineering company offering a good package and long-term stability?

On offer is the opportunity to join a well-established precision engineering business that provides CNC turning, CNC milling, design for manufacture, assembly, stock holding, and quality assurance services. The company produces complex machined components and assemblies for a range of technical sectors including aerospace, nuclear, power generation, water purification, air bearings, and automotive.

In this varied role, you will set and operate CNC turning machines, work from engineering drawings, set tooling and offsets, and produce precision components to tight tolerances. You will carry out first-off and in-process checks, and ensure components are manufactured accurately and to the required quality standards.

This role would suit a CNC Turner with Fanuc controls experience who is looking for a stable late shift role with overtime paid at time and a half.

The Role

• Setting and operating CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls

• Late shift, 4:00pm - 2:00am, with overtime paid at time and a half
