Job summary

Holt Engineering in Poole is seeking an experienced CNC Turner Setter to join their precision manufacturing team. You will set and operate CNC lathes, work with Fanuc controls, read engineering drawings, and produce components to aerospace and defence standards.

The ideal candidate has solid experience, can work independently or in a small, skilled team, and takes pride in quality. The role offers a 4-day week option, overtime at enhanced rates, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a CNC Turner or CNC Mill/Turner.
• Confident setting and operating modern CNC lathes.
• A good eye for detail and pride in your work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, skilled team.

What you’ll be doing as a CNC Turner:

• Setting and operating CNC lathes
• Working with Fanuc controls
• Using multi-axis lathes with live/driven tooling
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Inspecting your own work to make sure it meets spec
• Producing components to aerospace, defence or similar high standards

What you’ll need:

• Solid experience as a CNC Turner or CNC Mill/Turner
• Confident setting and operating modern CNC lathes
• A good eye for detail and pride in your work
• The ability to work independently and as part of a small, skilled team
