ABS Talent is recruiting a CNC Turner – Setter/Operator or Programmer for a Stoke-on-Trent based precision engineering client operating to ISO 9001 standards. The role offers a 4-day week (Mon-Thu, 7:00am–5:00pm) with weekends starting Thursday evening and a competitive hourly rate.

You will set, operate or program CNC turning centres (Doosan, Puma, Miyano) with Fanuc controls, reading drawings, producing tight-tolerance parts for prototypes and production runs, and conducting first-off

Qualificações

• Experience as a CNC Turner — Setter/Operator or Programmer.
• Confident on Fanuc controls; Doosan/Puma/Miyano experience is a plus.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Comfortable working to tight tolerances.
• Reliable and quality-focused team player.

Responsabilidades

Job type: Permanent, full-time

Hours: 4-day week — Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 5:00pm

The opportunity

ABS Talent is recruiting a CNC Turner on behalf of a well-established ISO 9001 precision engineering client in the Stoke-on-Trent area. They manufacture high-precision machined parts and assemblies for the defence, scientific and oil & gas sectors, across prototypes and production batches in a wide range of materials.

This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, quality-focused team on a genuine 4-day working week — with your weekends starting on Thursday evening.

The role

• Setting and operating (and/or programming) CNC turning machines
• Producing precision components to tight tolerances and drawing specification
• Working across prototype and batch production in a variety of materials
• Tooling selection and interpreting engineering drawings
• First-off and in-process inspection to quality standards

• Doosan, Puma and Miyano turning centres and lathes — all Fanuc controlled

About you

• Experience as a CNC Turner — Setter/Operator or Programmer
• Confident on Fanuc controls (Doosan / Puma / Miyano experience an advantage)
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Comfortable working to tight tolerances
• Reliable, quality-focused and a good team player

Hours & overtime

• Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 5:00pm (4-day week)
• No expectation of overtime — but if you choose to:
• Friday: time and a third
• Saturday: time and a half
• Sunday: double time
