Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is representing a Stoke-on-Trent employer seeking a CNC Setter (Turning) to set and operate CNC lathes, interpret drawings and load/prove out programs. The role is fully autonomous with scope to increase earnings through overtime and a 4-day week.

You will receive Fanuc programming training and clear progression paths into management as the company grows. Salary is advertised at £16–£18 per hour plus overtime and a potential bonus; reference BBBH27435.

Qualifications

• CNC Turner with setting and operating experience on lathe machines.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and load/prove out CNC programs.
• Identify and resolve quality problems.

Are you a CNC Turner with experience both setting and operating lathe machines, looking for a fully autonomous role, with the opportunity to increase your earnings dramatically through extensive optional overtime alongside a variety of bonuses?

In this role you will be responsible for the setting and operating of CNC Lathes, interpreting engineering drawings in order to select and install appropriate tooling’s and fixtures alike. You will load and prove out CNC programs to produce precision engineered components, identifying and resolving quality problems.
