Qualifications

• Ensure part conformity and traceability.

Skills

Minimum 5 years' experience operating CNC machinery

Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances

Experience of 3 axis milling machining

Good organisational and leadership skills

Experience of creating job specific fixturing and clamping

Ability to edit and program CNC machines with Fanuc controls

Experience in machining Aluminium preferable in aerospace environments

Able to use measuring tools

Experience of CAD/CAM systems and good understanding of CAM programming

Job description

CNC Team Leader

Up to Salary £42,000 (including shift allowance), Bristol BS34, 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday, alternate shift pattern working 06:00-14:00 -14:00-22:00, 25 days + bank holidays, company pension, parking.

Friendly, successful and expanding aerospace engineering company in Bristol are recruiting for a cnc milling team leader cnc programmer who would report to the Engineering manager.

Responsibilities

• Select appropriate tooling, program, set up and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines
• Support Engineering manager with daily tasks
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Ensuring a "Right First Time" approach to all tasks and collaborating with the quality team to ensure part conformity and traceability
• Communicating equipment needs with Engineering & Quality managers
• Working continuously on process improvement strategies with Engineering manager/CNC programmer
• Support with NC programming
• Monitor tool usage and support with tool and CNC equipment procurement

Key Skills required

• Minimum 5 years' experience operating CNC machinery
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
• Experience of 3 axis milling machining
• Good organisational and leadership as well as verbal and written communication skills
• Experience of creating job specific fixturing and clamping
• Ability to edit and program CNC machines with Fanuc controls
• Experience in machining Aluminium preferable in aerospace environments
• Able to use measuring tools (e.g., Vernier callipers, bore micrometres, DTI gauge)
• Experience of CAD/CAM systems and good understanding of CAM programming
