Job summary

Abatec Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Team Leader for a well-established manufacturing business in North Somerset. The role is hands-on leadership, leading CNC Operators while staying involved in daily production.

The ideal candidate has extensive CNC setting/operating experience and can work with 3, 4 and 5-axis machinery, Siemens/Fanuc CAD-CAM systems, and reading engineering drawings. A strong leader with good communication and organisational skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive CNC setting and operating experience.
• Previous CNC leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience with 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC machinery.
• Knowledge of Siemens, Fanuc and CAD/CAM systems.
• Experience in metal machining and window and door fabrication.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and solve technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of CNC Operators to meet production targets.
• Set, operate and troubleshoot CNC machinery.
• Work with Siemens and Fanuc controls and CAD/CAM systems.
• Train and develop operators, providing technical support.
• Oversee metal machining and window and door fabrication.
• Maintain quality standards, production efficiency and Health & Safety procedures.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for an experienced CNC Setter, CNC Machinist or CNC Supervisor looking to lead a team while remaining involved in daily production.
