Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is supporting an established precision engineering manufacturer to recruit a Production Team Lead for its machining operation in South Wales. The role focuses on leading day-to-day shopfloor activities with a clear path toward Production Manager responsibilities.

You will drive production priorities, manage people and machines, and maintain quality, delivery and safety standards in a CNC environment. A strong development plan supports progression to senior management.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of CNC machining and precision manufacturing.
• Experience leading or supervising people within manufacturing.
• Structured approach to solving production issues.
• Ability to communicate with machinists, engineers and managers.
• Understanding of quality and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of the production plan across the shopfloor.
• Prioritise and sequence work to meet customer and business requirements.
• Manage WIP and remove bottlenecks to maintain throughput.
• Coordinate people and machine capacity to sustain output and delivery.
• Be the first point of contact for day-to-day production issues.
