Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Junior CNC Machinist (Progression to Maintenance Engineer) in the Manchester area. The role starts with hands-on training at head office, shadowing experienced engineers, and then involves carrying out planned maintenance on CNC milling machines across a regional patch.

A company van is provided for site visits and there are clear progression plans to advance within the company.

Qualifications

• Willingness to train and shadow senior engineers at head office.
• Prepared to undertake short courses to gain relevant knowledge/qualifications.
• Full driving licence required for field-based work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planned preventative maintenance on CNC Milling Machines once trained.
• Cover sites across a regional patch (usually within 2 hours, some overnight stays).
• Work autonomously with occasional support from other engineers.
• Utilise company van for on-site work, with personal use allowed.
• Follow clear progression plans to advance into maintenance roles.
