Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is looking for a CNC Setter / Operator (Progression to Service Engineer) in the Sheffield area. You will start with training at head office and shadow senior engineers before becoming an engineer, then conduct planned maintenance on CNC milling machines across a regional patch.

This field-based role offers clear progression, a company van for personal use, bonuses and a strong focus on work-life balance within a well-established British distributor.

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Setter/Operator or similar.
• Wants to move into Maintenance.
• Full Driving Licence preferred for field role.

Responsibilities

• Receive training at head office and shadow senior engineers before becoming an engineer.
• Undertake planned preventative maintenance on CNC milling machines.
• Cover sites across a regional patch (usually within 2 hours with some overnight stays).
• Work autonomously but with other engineers at times.
