Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a CNC Setter/Operator in the West Midlands. The role is a days-based, 39‑hour week with flexible hours and a strong emphasis on quality and independent working within a small team.

Salary ranges from £32,000 to £36,000 plus 33 days holiday and a sick pay scheme. Commutable from Birmingham, Redditch, Solihull and surrounding areas. Previous machining centre experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' machining experience.
• Experienced in manual turning and CNC setting/operating.
• Confident with engineering drawings, tolerances and inspecting own work.
• Able to work independently while contributing to a small team.
• Machining centre experience advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating manual and CNC centre lathes.
• Program input, machining and self-inspection.
• Producing bespoke tooling blanks and one-off components.
• Workshop-based, days-only role with 39 hours per week.
• Flexible hours between 07:30 and 17:30, with part-time considered.
