Travail Employment Group is recruiting for a CNC Setter/Operator in Haywards Heath. The role is permanent, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a salary of £32,000–£38,000.
You will join a small, skilled team at a newer site, working to ISO9001 standards to produce precision components. The successful candidate will program, set and operate CNC machines, read drawings, select tooling, and perform in-process and final quality checks.

Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a CNC Setter/Operator to join a long-established engineering business specialising in the manufacture of high-quality precision components and machinery. Working within a small, skilled team at a newer manufacturing site, the CNC Setter/Operator will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC machinery to produce accurate components to required quality standards. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical knowledge, good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
The successful CNC Setter/Operator will have previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC machinery within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment. Experience using Fanuc controls and Alphacam would be highly desirable, along with confidence reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Strong attention to detail, sound machining knowledge and the ability to carry out quality checks are also highly desirable. You will be self-motivated, able to work independently and comfortable contributing as part of a small team. This role could suit someone who has worked as a CNC Machinist, CNC Programmer or CNC Miller/Turner.
