Job summary

A well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Stansted is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator. You will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery while ensuring quality control during production. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with Siemens controls and CNC programming. Qualifications

• Experience with CNC milling and/or turning machines required.
• Proficient in CNC programming with relevant software.
• Manual machining background is necessary.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines for production.
• Interpret engineering drawings to program machines.
• Conduct quality control inspections on produced components.
• Maintain production and quality records meticulously.
• Quality control inspection to ensure components meet specification.
• Maintaining accurate production and quality records.
• Adhering to health & safety procedures and keeping work area clean and organised.

CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator
Full-time | Manufacturing | Stanstead
A well-established precision engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a skilled and collaborative production team. Based at a modern manufacturing facility in the Stansted area, this role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery, alongside production monitoring and quality control.
The successful candidate will be capable of taking an issued engineering drawing, programming the machine, setting it up, and running it through to completion, ensuring components are produced to specification.
The business operates Siemens controls, XYZ machines, and ONE CNC software. Prior experience with these systems is highly desirable.
A competitive salary is offered, dependent on experience and skill level, together with a comprehensive benefits package and the potential for a four-day working week (subject to workload).

Key Responsibilities

• CNC machine set-up and operation, including loading raw materials, tooling, and calibration
• Interpretation of engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Programming CNC milling and/or turning machines
• Supervising machines during production and making necessary adjustments
• Quality control inspection to ensure components meet specification
• Maintaining accurate production and quality records
• Adhering to health & safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised work area
