Job summary

Actio Engineering Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Chessington. We are seeking an experienced Mill Turn Setter/Operator to join the machining team on a permanent day shift.

You will work with advanced multi-axis machinery, including a DMG MORI NTX300, producing high-precision components for demanding industries and maintaining tight tolerances with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Mill Turn Setter/Operator.
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of tooling, cutting parameters, and machining processes.
• Experience using inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating a DMG MORI NTX300 Mill Turn.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Selecting and setting tooling and offsets.
• Producing first-off inspections and carrying out in-process measurements.
• Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments where required.
• Working to tight tolerances and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.

• Setting and operating a DMG MORI NTX300 Mill Turn
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
