Optima UK Inc Ltd in Nottinghamshire is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Setter to take ownership of their machine and produce precision-engineered components to tight tolerances using 3,4,5-axis milling.

You will work with modern CNC milling machines, support the production team, and contribute to continuous improvement. This permanent role offers competitive salary circa £40,000+, with overtime and benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC setting experience and ability to operate CNC milling machines.
• Experience with 3, 4 or 5-axis machining.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Understands precision machining and tight tolerances.

Location: Nottinghamshire

Salary: Circa £40,000+ depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am-4:30pm; Friday, 7:30am-1:30pm

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Miller Setter to join a well-established precision engineering business.

The company manufactures high-integrity components for technically demanding sectors, including nuclear, defence, aerospace and oil and gas.

Due to continued growth, the business is looking to strengthen its production team with a skilled CNC Setter who can work independently and consistently achieve demanding quality standards.

The Role

As a CNC Miller Setter, you will take ownership of your machine and produce precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.

You will work with modern CNC milling machinery and automation while contributing positively to the wider production team.

• Setting and operating CNC milling machines
• Working with 3, 4 and 5-axis machining processes
• Producing precision components to tight tolerances

Candidate Requirements

• Strong CNC setting experience
• Previous experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
• Experience with 3, 4 or 5-axis machining
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Good understanding of precision machining and tight tolerances
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of your work
• A positive and supportive approach to teamworkExperience within nuclear, defence, aerospace, oil and gas or another high-integrity manufacturing environment would be highly desirable.
• Previous experience working with specialist materials or within regulated manufacturing supply chains would also be advantageous.
