Actio Engineering Recruitment on behalf of a precision engineering manufacturer in Chessington is seeking an experienced Mill Turn Setter/Operator for a permanent day shift. The role offers a challenging environment with advanced multi-axis machinery and high-precision components.

You will set up and operate a DMG MORI NTX300 Mill Turn, read engineering drawings and specifications, select tooling and offsets, and perform first-off inspections and in-process measurements to maintain quality and

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Mill Turn Setter/Operator.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of tooling, cutting parameters, and machining processes.
• Experience using inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate a DMG MORI NTX300 Mill Turn.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Set tooling and offsets.
• Produce first-off inspections and carry out in-process measurements.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as required.
• Work to tight tolerances and maintain high quality standards.
• Ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organised working environment.

Location: Chessington, Surrey

Shift: Days | Early Finish on Fridays

Salary: Competitive, DOE

Actio Engineering Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Chessington. Our client is seeking an experienced Mill Turn Setter/Operator to join their machining team on a permanent day shift.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with advanced multi-axis machinery, including a DMG MORI NTX300, producing high-precision components for demanding industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting and operating a DMG MORI NTX300 Mill Turn
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Selecting and setting tooling and offsets
• Producing first-off inspections and carrying out in-process measurements
• Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments where required
• Working to tight tolerances and maintaining high-quality standards
• Ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently
• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment

Requirements
