Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting two permanent CNC setters for an immediate start in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands. The client based in Curdworth offers a 2-shift rotation from 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with weekly rotation.

You will set or pre-set CNC milling, turning and other machines (no operating required), read drawings, plan tooling and offsets, and work with the Co-ordinator and engineer to achieve optimum cycle times and high-quality components.

Qualifications

• Experience setting CNC milling/turning machines.
• Ability to read drawings and set tooling and offsets.
• Willingness to work in a 2-shift rotation (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00).
• No operating required; focus on setup and pre-setting.

Responsibilities

Our client based in Curdworth are looking for x 2 Permanent CNC setters for an immediate start following a successful interview.

CNC Setters - 2 Shift Rotation, working hours are 06:00-14:00 AM / 14:00-22:00 Rotating weekly.

• Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor the CNC Setter will be responsible for setting or pre-setting of CNC and other manufacturing machines, No operating required!
• Understand company objectives and strive to meet or exceed the KPIs and metrics.
• Manage the production accurate, high-quality components
• Competently set CNC Milling, Turning or other production machines using various operating systems.
• Plan & specify tooling requirements, including jigs and fixtures, tool changes and amendments including offset adjustments and minor program changes to produce components within drawing tolerances/limits.
• Working with the Co-ordinator and engineer to ensure the machines are run efficiently with optimum cycle times.
