Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting two permanent CNC setters for an immediate start in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands. The client based in Curdworth offers a 2-shift rotation from 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with weekly rotation.

You will set or pre-set CNC milling, turning and other machines (no operating required), read drawings, plan tooling and offsets, and work with the Co-ordinator and engineer to achieve optimum cycle times and high-quality components.

Qualifications

• Experience setting CNC milling/turning machines.
• Ability to read drawings and set tooling and offsets.
• Willingness to work in a 2-shift rotation (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00).
• No operating required; focus on setup and pre-setting.

Responsibilities

• Set or pre-set CNC and other manufacturing machines.
• Understand company KPIs and strive to meet/exceed them.
• Plan and specify tooling requirements, including jigs, fixtures, and offsets.
• Collaborate with the Co-ordinator and engineer to ensure efficient machine run times.
