Job summary

Jobsworth Recruitment are recruiting for a CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a precision engineering team in Halesowen. The role covers programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce forged dies, tooling and bespoke components.

You will read engineering drawings, select tooling, and work to tight tolerances in a busy machine shop. This permanent, full-time position offers Monday to Friday 8:00am–4:00pm with overtime opportunities and immediate interviews.

Qualifications

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines (as part of a skilled engineering team).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and to work to tight tolerances.
• Experience with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls is essential; tooling knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Creating, editing and proving CNC programs using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.
• Manufacturing forging dies, tooling and bespoke engineered components.
• Producing one-off and small batch work to tight tolerances.

About You

To be successful in this role you'll have:

• Previous experience as a CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter / Operator.
• Strong knowledge of both Fanuc and Heidenhain control systems.
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience producing precision components to tight tolerances.
• Experience manufacturing forging dies or tooling would be advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
