Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a CNC Miller (Programmer / Setter / Operator) in Halifax, West Yorkshire. The role offers a day shift with early finish on Fridays and overtime opportunities, with a salary range of £17.50-£19.80 per hour.

You will program, set and operate 3- and 4-axis vertical milling machines using Heidenhain controls, loading and editing programs at the machine, and inspecting complex components made from Inconel, Nitronic and stainless steel.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Heidenhain controls and programming at the machine.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and machine to tight tolerances.
• Able to commute to Halifax.

Halifax, West Yorkshire

Are you a CNC Miller with experience programming, setting and operating 3 and 4-axis vertical milling machines using Heidenhain controls, looking for a permanent days-based role with an early finish every Friday and optional overtime?

On offer is the opportunity to join a well-established precision engineering business manufacturing high-precision components from stainless steel and specialist alloys. You will work within a modern, well-equipped machine shop producing components from difficult-to-machine materials, including Inconel and Nitronic.

In this role, you will program new CNC milling jobs directly at the machine, set and operate vertical milling machines, and load, prove, edit and optimise programs. You will also select tooling, feeds and speeds, carry out first-off and in-process inspections, and ensure components meet tight tolerance and surface-finish requirements.

This role would suit a CNC Milling Programmer, Setter and Operator with strong Heidenhain experience, looking for a stable day-shift position with optional overtime and an early finish every Friday.

THE ROLE
