Job summary

Interaction Technical, in Northamptonshire, seeks an experienced CNC Miller Programmer, Setter & Operator to join its precision engineering team. The role focuses on programming, setting and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC milling machines, producing high-precision parts to exact specifications from stainless steel and exotic alloys.

You will read engineering drawings, machine small to medium batches, ensure tight tolerances, and uphold stringent quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC Miller, Setter & Programmer.
• Strong experience with Fanuc controls.
• Programming experience essential.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience machining a range of materials, including exotic alloys.
• High attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances.
• Self-motivated with a positive and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate Fanuc-controlled CNC milling machines.
• Manufacture precision-engineered components to specification.
• Read and interpret 2D engineering drawings.
• Machine a variety of materials including 304, 316, Duplex, Titanium and Hastelloy.
• Inspect components using precision measuring equipment.
• Produce work to tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and production efficiency initiatives.

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire

Salary: £37,000 - £38,000 (38-hour week)

Hours: Monday to Thursday 06:00-14:30 or 07:00-15:30, Friday 06:00-12:00

The Role

As a CNC Miller Programmer, Setter & Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC milling machines, producing high-precision components to exact specifications.

Working from engineering drawings, you will manufacture small and medium batch components from a range of materials including stainless steel, Duplex, Titanium and Hastelloy alloys while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

You will become a key member of the milling department, supporting the continued success and growth of the business.
