Job summary

WF Tech in Melton Mowbray is seeking an experienced CNC Miller, Setter/Programmer to join a precision engineering team. You will set, operate and program Doosan, HAAS and DMG milling machines to produce high‑precision components from various materials.

You will read engineering drawings and 3D models, edit CNC programs at the machine, select tooling and inspect parts to tight tolerances. The role offers a days shift with overtime opportunities and a stable, family‑run environment.

Qualifications

Strong experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
Experience with Doosan, HAAS or DMG machining centres is highly advantageous.
Knowledge of Fanuc or similar CNC controls.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
Experience in precision engineering or subcontract manufacturing.
Understanding tooling, speeds, feeds and machining strategies.
Experience using CAD/CAM systems – FeatureCAM is a major advantage.

Responsibilities

Setting and operating Doosan, HAAS and DMG CNC milling machines.
Programming and editing CNC programmes at the machine.
Working from engineering drawings and 3D models.
Using FeatureCAM CAD/CAM software to support programming and machining processes.
Selecting tooling, setting work offsets and proving out new jobs.
Producing low‑volume, high‑quality precision components.
Carrying out in‑process inspection and maintaining tight tolerances.
Supporting continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment.

The Role

As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for setting, operating and programming CNC milling machines, producing high‑precision components from a range of materials.

The Candidate

The ideal CNC Miller will have:

Working Hours & Overtime

Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 4:30pm
