Job summary

Lynx Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting for an established engineering and manufacturing business in North Hampshire to fill a CNC Programmer/Operator role for their Farnborough facility. The position involves programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC machines to produce precision components.

You will inspect parts, read drawings, and work to tight tolerances while maintaining records and contributing to continuous improvement in a busy turning department.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification or relevant technical qualification.
• 3-5 years' experience in CNC machining, turning or manufacturing.
• Strong experience programming, setting and operating CNC turning/milling machines.
• Experience working with Mazak machinery would be highly advantageous.
• Ability to read and understand CNC programmes and engineering drawings.
• Confident using micrometres, verniers and other precision measuring equipment.
• Good mathematical and technical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience carrying out in-process inspection and checking components against drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.

JOB - CNC Programmer/Operator (Mazak)

LOCATION - North Hampshire

TERM - Permanent

SALARY - £35,000 - £42,000, dependent on experience

My client is an established engineering and manufacturing business supplying high-precision components to clients across the aerospace and automotive industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Programmer, Setter, Operator to join their production team at their Farnborough facility. Working within the Turning department, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC professional to work with modern machinery, including CNC and Mazak machines, producing precision components to exacting standards.

Key responsibilities
