Job summary

Haich Recruitment is recruiting an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer for an established precision engineering business in East Lancashire. You will program, set and operate Mazak turning centres to produce precision components from engineering drawings.

The role requires strong Mazak/Mazatrol skills, attention to tolerances, and the ability to inspect parts with micrometers and other gauges. Overtime is available and a permanent, full-time position with training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong Mazak CNC turning experience.
• Able to programme from scratch using Mazatrol.
• Able to work from engineering drawings.
• Experience with micrometers and inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC turning centres.
• Producing precision machined components from drawings.
• Selecting and setting tooling and machining parameters.
• Carrying out first-off and in-process inspection.
• Making adjustments to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Working across varied precision engineering work.

£35,000–£40,000 DOE

Haich Recruitment is working with an established precision engineering business in East Lancashire looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer with strong Mazak and Mazatrol experience.

Key requirements

• Strong Mazak CNC turning experience
• Able to programme from scratch using Mazatrol
• Confident independently setting and operating
• Able to work from engineering drawings
• Strong understanding of tooling, offsets, feeds and speeds
• Experience producing precision components to tight tolerances
• Confident using micrometers, verniers and other inspection equipment
• Experience with longer components / steady-rest work advantageous but not essential
