Job summary

Kurt J. Lesker Company Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer Machinist for its Hastings area site. The role focuses on programming and operating CNC mills, reading drawings and G-code, and delivering accurate parts for high‑tech applications.

The ideal candidate will have ONC/HNC in Mechanical/Manufacturing, proven CNC experience, and Delcam or MasterCam skills, with a drive to mentor others and work cross‑functionally in a manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• ONC/HNC in Mechanical or Manufacturing Technology (or equivalent).
• Proven machining experience on CNC equipment or with CNC solid modeling.
• Delcam or MasterCam programming experience required.
• Extensive knowledge of G code, M code and offsets.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex machining on CNC milling machines and read G-code.
• Write and edit CNC programs to meet production needs and quality goals.
• Set up 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines and read technical drawings.
• Mentor colleagues to resolve machining problems and improve processes.
• Ensure finished parts meet specifications with precision measuring tools.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to optimize workflows.
• Perform other duties as required.
