Job summary

Kurt J. Lesker Company is seeking a CNC Programmer Machinist for their European Headquarters in St. Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex.

The role requires CNC programming, CAM software proficiency, and the ability to read technical drawings, set up 3- to 5-axis machines, and produce quality parts. Ideal candidates will have ONC/HNC or equivalent, extensive G-code/M-code knowledge, and experience with Delcam or MasterCam.

Qualifications

• ONC/HNC or equivalent experience
• Proven CNC machining experience (turning and milling)
• Delcam or MasterCam programming experience
• Extensive knowledge of machine functions (G code, M code, offsets)

Responsibilities

• Perform complex machining operations on CNC milling machines and read and understand G-code
• Mentor fellow employees to resolve complex machining problems
• Write and edit complex CNC programs to support production requirements providing optimum manufacturing cost and quality
• Set and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis machines
• Read and understand Technical drawings
• Produce quality parts in a timely manner
• Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications using precision measuring instruments
• Collaborate with machinists, Engineering, and Product/Production Management to solve problems and improve processes
• Other duties as assigned

What you'll bring:

Required

• ONC/HNC (Mechanical, Manufacturing Technology or Industrial Technology) or equivalent experience in a related field
• Proven machining experience on CNC equipment or using CNC solid modeling (turning and milling)
• Delcam or MasterCam Programming experience
• Extensive knowledge of machine functions (G code, M code, Offsets, etc)
