Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking an experienced CNC Miller & Programmer to join a busy precision engineering team in the United Kingdom. You will program, set and operate CNC milling machines from engineering drawings to produce both one-off and batch components.

You will optimise programmes to improve efficiency and cycle times, select tooling and fixtures, and carry out first-off inspections and quality checks using measuring equipment, while maintaining safe and clean working practices.

Requirements

Essential

• Proven CNC milling experience.
• CNC programming experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

• CAD/CAM programming experience.
• Experience with either Haas, Hurco, Mazak or Fanuc controls.
• Knowledge of Haas and Matsuura machinery.
• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
