Job summary

Kurt J. Lesker Company is seeking a CNC Programmer Machinist for its European Headquarters in St. Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex. The role requires experience in CNC programming and machining, a solid CAM software background, and a Mechanical Engineering qualification.

You will join a team delivering precision components for high-tech industries. Based at our European HQ in St. Leonards-on-Sea, this position offers an opportunity to mentor peers and contribute to efficient, accurate manufacturing

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC programming and machining.
• Strong understanding of CAM software.
• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex machining operations on CNC milling machines and read and understand G-code.
• Mentor fellow employees to resolve complex machining problems.
• Write and edit complex CNC programs to support production requirements providing optimum manufacturing cost and quality.
• Set and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis machines.
• Read and understand Technical drawings.
• Produce quality parts in a timely manner.
• Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Collaborate with machinists, Engineering, and Product/Production Management to solve problems and improve processes.
