Job summary

Perfect Team in Leighton Buzzard, United Kingdom, seeks an experienced CNC Turner/Programmer for a permanent late shift. You will write CNC programs from scratch using G-code, set up the machine from drawings, edit existing programs, and inspect finished parts.

Fanuc controls experience is required. The role offers a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday, with Fridays off and shift timings from 4.30 pm to 3.30 am (Mon-Wed) and 4.30 pm to 1 am (Thu).

Qualifications

• Experience programming CNC lathes from scratch using G-code.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and define tooling, speeds and feeds.
• Comfortable editing existing programs and performing test cuts.

Late Shift CNC Turner, Programmer

My client is a well established machine shop based in Leighton Buzzard, who, as part of their expansion are seeking an experienced CNC programmer who can write new CNC programs from scratch using G code programming.

This is a permanent late shift role working a 4 day week Monday to Thursday every Friday off. Monday to Wednesday 4.30 pm to 3.30 am Thursday 4.30 pm to 1 am. CANDIDATES MUST BE HAPPY WITH THESE HOURS.

The role responsibilities include:

• Writing CNC programs from scratch
• Confidently completing the full machine set from engineering drawings to finished component including material, tooling, speeds, feeds, cutting conditions etc
• Editing existing programs
• Reading Engineering drawings, geometric tolerances, surface finishes and inspection of final goods
• Doing Test cuts and time studies on behalf of the clients
• Use of Fanuc

Working in a small team but this is a permanent Late Shift role.
