Job summary

Anne Corder Recruitment is helping a precision engineering client in Leighton Buzzard recruit a CNC Turner (Late Shift). You will produce, modify and optimize CNC turning programs on 2-axis lathes, interpreting drawings and tolerances to ensure parts meet specs.

The role offers a permanent full-time position with a four-day week, Friday off, salary £50,000–£57,000, pension and healthcare, and 28 daysLeave plus Christmas shutdown, with immediate start opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC turning machinery.
• Ability to create CNC programs from scratch with minimal supervision.
• Solid understanding of G-code programming principles and machining techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, geometric tolerances and surface finish requirements.

Responsibilities

CNC Turner / Programmer's Key Responsibilities:

Skills & Experience Required as a CNC Turner / Programmer:

• Demonstrable experience programming, setting and operating CNC turning machinery.
• Strong ability to create CNC programs from scratch with minimal supervision.
• Solid understanding of G-code programming principles and machining techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, geometric tolerances and surface finish requirements.
• Self-motivated, quality-focused approach with excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Experience with Fanuc controls and Fanuc Manual Guide i software would be advantageous.
