Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced CNC Turner & Programmer for a well-established precision engineering company in Leighton Buzzard. The role requires writing new CNC programs from scratch, preferably with Fanuc controls experience.

Location is Leighton Buzzard and offers a four-day week with a late shift. The successful candidate will program, set and operate 2-axis CNC turning machines, interpret engineering drawings, and manage tools, speeds and feeds for various

• Proven experience programming, setting and operating 2-axis CNC turning machines.
• Strong working knowledge of G-code programming. Ability to complete full machine set-up from drawings to finished component.
• Experience editing and optimising existing programs as needed.
• Solid understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, finishes and in-process inspection.

CNC Turner & Programmer

Location: Leighton Buzzard

Salary

£50,654- £57,319 per annum including late-shift premium

CNC Turner & Programmer required for a well-established precision engineering company based in Leighton Buzzard. The successful candidate will need to be able to write new CNC programs from scratch with little or no supervision. Ideally Fanuc controls experience but not essential.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience programming, setting and operating 2-axis CNC turning machines


• Strong working knowledge of G-code programming. Confident completing the full machine set-up from engineering drawing to finished component, including material, tooling, speeds, feeds and cutting conditions.


• Able to edit and optimise existing programs where required.


• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, geometric tolerances, surface finishes and in-process inspection.


• Experience producing one-off and low-to-medium-volume precision components in a range of hard and soft metals.


• Confident working on parts from approximately Ø25 mm x 100 mm up to Ø300 mm x 3 m. Hoist training is provided.

Remuneration

Salary- £50,654-£57,319 per annum including late-shift premium

Four-day week: Monday-Wednesday 4.30 pm-3.30 am; Thursday 4.30 pm-1.00 am.

Late-shift premium paid at time plus one third.

28 days holiday including Bank Holidays, plus additional Christmas shutdown holiday.
