Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator in Chessington, Surrey, to join a precision engineering shop manufacturing high-quality components for aerospace and automotive sectors.

You will set and run 5-axis machining centres, work with Mazak Integrex and DMG Mori machines, read engineering drawings and perform in-process checks to tight tolerances, ensuring ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating 5-axis CNC machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Work to tight tolerances with high quality standards.
• Experience with Mazak Integrex or DMG Mori is advantageous.

CNC Setter / Operator

Chessington, Surrey - Commutable from Kingston upon Thames, Epsom, Surbiton, Sutton, Croydon, Leatherhead, Esher, New Malden, Wimbledon and surrounding areas

£35,500 - £47,500 + Monday - Thursday (8:00am - 5:00pm) + Early Finish Fridays (12:00pm) + Annual Bonus + Life Assurance + Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Are you a 5-Axis Setter / Operator, CNC Machinist or CNC Programmer/Setter with experience in precision engineering, looking for a stable role with excellent earning potential and a great work-life balance?

This is a permanent opportunity with a well-established precision engineering business supplying high-quality components into aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, nuclear and general engineering.

You will join a modern machine shop, setting and operating 5-axis machining centres to manufacture precision components to tight tolerances and high quality standards.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:

• Setting and operating 5-axis machining centres
• Working with Mazak Integrex and DMG Mori machines
• Producing precision components from engineering drawings
• Selecting tooling and workholding equipment
• Carrying out in-process quality checks
• Working to tight tolerances and maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Following ISO 9001, AS9100 and Health & Safety requirements

The Person:

• Experience setting and operating 5-axis CNC machines
• Experience with Mazak Integrex or DMG Mori is advantageous
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
