Job summary

Castle Employment Agency Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Operative for a permanent, full-time role in the Scarborough area. The position offers a £16.00 per hour base pay with a 30% shift allowance and overtime opportunities, in a modern, precision engineering environment.

You will set and operate CNC machinery, read engineering drawings, and produce components to tight tolerances as part of a collaborative team. Ongoing training and genuine progression into CNC programming are available.

• Setting and operating CNC machinery.
• Producing one-off and small batch precision components.
• Working from engineering drawings.
• Manufacturing components to tight tolerances.
• Inspecting your own work using measuring equipment.
• Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping.
• Working collaboratively within an experienced machining team.

About You To be successful, you'll ideally have:

• Previous experience setting and operating CNC machinery.
• Experience within a precision engineering or metal fabrication environment.
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• A keen eye for detail and pride in producing high-quality work.

Experience in any of the following would also be beneficial, but is not essential:

• CNC milling or turning.
• Editing or creating CNC programmes.
• Heidenhain controls.
• CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks or CAMWorks.
