Job summary

Streamline Search are seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join a specialist precision engineering business in the United Kingdom. The role covers programming, setting and operating Mazak milling centres to produce precision components to tight tolerances.

You will read and interpret detailed drawings, select appropriate tooling, write Mazak ISO programs and carry out first-off inspections to ensure components meet spec. Work is on-site with standard hours.

Qualifications

• Strong experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines (Mazak preferred).
• Ability to read detailed engineering drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, tooling selection and machining conditions.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate Mazak CNC milling centres to manufacture precision components.
• Read and interpret detailed customer drawings and specifications.
• Determine milling methods and processes for each component.
• Write and edit Mazak ISO CNC programmes.
• Carry out first-off inspections to verify specifications.
• Create, store and maintain CNC programmes.
• Review work orders to ensure machining requirements are understood.
• Maintain production quality and meet run times and standards.
• Work with colleagues to improve methods, efficiency and quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and ISO 9001:2015 compliance.
