Gill Cooke Personnel Ltd T/A The Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled CNC Miller / Setter-Operator for our Northampton team. You will set up and run Fanuc-controlled milling machines, read engineering drawings, select tooling and ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

Training is provided for the right candidate, with opportunities to develop CNC programming skills and progress within the business. The role offers a competitive salary and a stable full-time position.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines is essential.
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls is highly desirable.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings to spec.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Programming experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Keen to learn, develop and take on more responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC milling machines.
• Producing components to required specifications and quality standards.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specs.
• Selecting tooling and setting up machines for production.
• Carrying out quality checks and ensuring tolerances are met.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Editing and developing CNC programmes where required, with training.
• Working as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
