Job description

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Miller Setter for our client in Hitchin, a highly regarded market leader in the Automotive and Pharmaceutical industries, specializing in subcontract manufacturing of highly precision machined components.

What’s the job?

1. Experienced CNC Miller Setter/Operator
2. Focus on quality, working to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
3. Ability to read and interpret drawings
4. Checking for tool wear or breakage and replacing tools when needed
5. Ensuring efficient cycle times while maintaining quality standards
6. Awareness of health and safety protocols at work
7. Ensuring smooth production processes
8. Verifying that finished components meet tight tolerances and specifications
9. Making necessary adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy

Who can do this?

1. 10+ years of experience in CNC machining
2. Experience in setting and operating CNC milling machines
3. Fanuc and/or Heidenhain experience is advantageous
4. Experience working with various materials including Aluminum and Steel
