Job summary

Actio Recruitment is recruiting for a CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator in the Derby area. The role involves programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components in low-volume and small-batch runs.

You will work with Fanuc controls, interpret engineering drawings, select tooling, and conduct first-off inspections to ensure quality. The position is permanent with a four-day week and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator.
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience working within a subcontract manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines with Fanuc controls.

Location: Derby Area

Salary: £18.00 - £22.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)

Hours: Monday to Thursday (4-Day Week)

Contract: Permanent

Actio Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company based in the Derby area. Due to continued growth and a strong workload, our client is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator to join their team. Working within a busy machine shop, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines producing high-quality precision components in low-volume and small batch quantities.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines with Fanuc controls
• Manufacturing precision components to customer specifications and engineering drawings
• Producing low-batch and one-off components for a variety of industries

Requirements

• Competent in the use of measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges
