Job summary

THOMAS Professional in Northampton is seeking a CNC Miller to join a precision engineering business supplying components to motorsport teams. You will program, set and operate Haas CNC milling machines across 3–5 axis configurations, with training available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a precision engineering environment is essential.
• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Familiarity with Fanuc and/or Haas controls.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
• A reliable team player with a flexible, hands-on attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines using ISO/G-code.
• Interpret engineering drawings to manufacture precision components.
• Select and set tooling, workholding and tool offsets.
• Prove out programmes and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspection.
• Support colleagues and assist with wider workshop duties.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
