Job summary

Workforce Recruitment and Training is recruiting for an established precision engineering business in the UK. The role is for an experienced CNC Miller/Programmer Setter Operator to join on a permanent basis.

You will programme, set and operate CNC milling machines, reading drawings and producing high-precision components to tight tolerances. 3- and 4-axis milling experience is essential; 5-axis is advantageous. Immediate starts available.

Qualifications

• Strong programming, setting and operating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good knowledge of tooling, cutting conditions and machining processes.
• Experience working to tight tolerances.
• Aerospace/Defence experience would be advantageous.
• CNC/CAM programming experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines.
• Work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Produce high-precision components to tight tolerances.
• Set tooling, work-holding and offsets.
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspection.
• Troubleshoot machining and make necessary programme/offset adjustments.
• Experience with 3- and 4-axis milling is essential.
• 5-axis experience would be highly advantageous.
