Job summary

Candour Talent Ltd in the North West is seeking an experienced CNC Miller / Programmer to join a precision engineering manufacturer on a permanent, full-time basis. You will program, set and run 3, 4 and 5-axis machining centres, with direct programming at the machine and CAD/CAM support for complex parts.

You'll read engineering drawings, use Heidenhain and Siemens controls, and perform self-checks to tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Miller/ programmer.
• Ability to program, set and operate independently.
• Experience with Heidenhain and/or Siemens controls.
• Experience on 3-, 4- and 5-axis machining centres.
• Strong interpretation of engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Proactive attitude and pride in quality work.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Working with Heidenhain and Siemens controls.
• Manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Conducting quality checks and self-inspection.
• Maintaining high safety and workmanship standards.
• Supporting continuous improvement in the machine shop.
