Job summary

Workforce Recruitment and Training is seeking a skilled 5-axis CNC Machinist for an immediate start at our Willenhall workshop. You will program, set and machine tooling for diverse materials and complex geometries.

Experience with Hypermill or Powermill, and Heidenhain or Mazatrol controls, is essential. You will work to tight deadlines, maintaining toolpaths and quality across the shop floor.

• Experience programming CNC using Hypermill/Powermill.
• Experience with Heidenhain or Mazatrol controls.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and machine a wide variety of tooling in diverse materials.
• Be responsible for own Autodesk HyperMill workstation.
• Operate Vericut to verify toolpaths prior to running.
• Conduct quality assurance and safety checks on tooling.
• Develop CNC programs for machining parts from engineering drawings.

Job description

Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, / 7:30am - 12:30pm Friday

Overtime available @ time and a third

The client is a family run CAD/CAM tooling solutions company, with a rich heritage spanning over nearly 100 years! The candidate will be joining a long serving team who are passionate about providing a first-class service to their customers.

As a 5-axis CNC Machinist you would ideally possess experience in Mazatrol and/or Heidenhain controls (other machine models and operating systems experience considered)

You will be experienced in programming offline in CAD/CAM - Hypermill or Powermill though other CAD/CAM systems considered.
