Job summary

Workforce Staffing Ltd is recruiting a 5-axis CNC Machinist for a family-run CAD/CAM tooling solutions company in Willenhall. The role involves programming offline and setting up machines to produce tooling components, with a focus on quality and precision.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Hypermill or Powermill CAD/CAM systems, and Mazatrol and/or Heidenhain controls, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience programming offline in CAD/CAM systems (Hypermill or Powermill preferred).
• Familiarity with Mazatrol or Heidenhain controls.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and develop tooling programs.

Responsibilities

• Program and set up 5-axis CNC machines for tooling components across materials.
• Operate Autodesk HyperMill and verify toolpaths with Vericut.
• Conduct QA and safety checks on tooling and processes.
• Interpret project blueprints and develop machining programs.

CNC Miller Programmer

Location: Willenhall

Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, / 7:30am - 12:30pm Friday

Pay rate: £36,000 to £40,000 - negotiable dependent upon experience

Overtime available @ time and a third

The client is a family run CAD/CAM tooling solutions company, with a rich heritage spanning over nearly 100 years! The candidate will be joining a long serving team who are passionate about providing a first-class service to their customers.

As a 5-axis CNC Machinist you would ideally possess experience in Mazatrol and/or Heidenhain controls (other machine models and operating systems experience considered)

You will be experienced in programming offline in CAD/CAM - Hypermill or Powermill though other CAD/CAM systems considered.

5-axis CNC Machinist duties include:

• Program, set and machine a wide variety of tooling in a range of different materials such aluminium moulds & tools, cast-iron patterns and coreboxes
• Be responsible for own Autodesk hypermill work station
• Operate Vericut software to verify toolpaths prior to runningConducting quality assurance and safety checks on all tooling
• Develop CNC programs for machining parts based on engineering drawings and specification
• Interpreting project blueprints

Skills and attributes required by successful candidate for the role of 5-axis CNC Machinist:
