Job summary

Streamline Search Ltd is seeking a highly skilled CNC Miller to produce small-batch work, prototypes and complex components in a precision engineering environment. The role focuses on Heidenhain programming at the machine tool control and thorough interpretation of drawings to meet tight tolerances.

You will programme, set and operate CNC milling machines, handling prototypes and production runs with strong hands-on execution and troubleshooting. Overtime is available to maximise output.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on CNC milling experience required.
• Strong Heidenhain programming skills and ability to program at the machine tool.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls.
• Carry out programming directly at the machine tool control.
• Manufacture complex components, prototypes and small-batch work.
• Work from engineering drawings and specifications to produce components accurately.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues and adjust as needed.

Our client specialises in precision engineering across a diverse range of industries and applications. On behalf of our client, we are looking for a highly skilled CNC Miller to produce small-batch work, prototypes and complex components.

This is a technically demanding role requiring strong Heidenhain programming skills, with the ability to programme directly at the machine tool control.

Package:

• Regular overtime available, paid at 1.5x the standard hourly rate.
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays + Christmas shut down

• Hourly rate from £20 per hour
• Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls.
• Carry out the majority of programming directly at the machine tool control.
• Manufacture complex components, prototypes and small-batch work.
• Work from engineering drawings and specifications to produce components accurately.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues, making adjustments where necessary.
• Inspect finished components to ensure they meet the required tolerances and quality standards.
• Extensive hands-on CNC milling experience, with the ability to programme, set and operate machines independently.
• Strong Heidenhain programming experience directly at the machine tool control is essential.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand tolerances, tooling and machining processes.
• Comfortable working on varied and complex machining projects, including small batches and prototypes.
• Fusion CAD/CAM or other offline programming experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
