Job summary

Robertson Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Miller & Programmer on PM shifts to join a growing precision engineering team in the UK. You will program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components in a clean manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes programming expertise, with a 4-on-3 pattern and a three-day weekend (Fridays off). Competitive hourly rates up to £20, with overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Programming and operating CNC milling machines.
• Produce first-off components to engineering drawing specifications.
• Modify and improve existing programmes to reduce cycle times and improve efficiency.
• Maintain programme documentation and backups.
• Select appropriate tooling and fixtures.
• Manufacture one-off and batch components to tight tolerances.
• Carry out tool changes, offsets and machine adjustments.

We are looking for an experienced CNC Miller & Programmer to join our well-established client, who are rapidly growing due to much success.

This opportunity is working PM Shifts:

• 4pm - 2pm Monday - Wednesday
• 4pm - 1pm Thursdays
• Fridays Off (3 day weekend)

The Role:

This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision-engineered components safely, efficiently and accurately.

Programming experience is essential for this role.

Essential Experience Needed:

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller
• CAD/CAM Programming experience
• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Desirable Experience:

• Experience with Hurco, Haas, Mazak or Fanuc controls.
• Experience operating Haas and Matsuura machinery.
• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
