Workforce Staffing is seeking a skilled CNC Miller Programmer near Milton Keynes to join our precision engineering client. You will program, set, and operate vertical and horizontal machining centres to produce components to tight tolerances, using Fanuc controls.

The role requires experience with machining centres, reading engineering drawings, and producing small to medium batch runs. The site offers overtime opportunities and a modern workshop near Milton Keynes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience programming and setting machining centres.
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls (or similar).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling and machining strategies for efficient production.
• Produce precision components to tight tolerances and within quality standards.
• Carry out first-off inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Optimise CNC programs and setups to improve cycle times and reduce waste.
• Work collaboratively with production staff to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
• Maintain machines, tooling, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

Location:Near Milton Keynes
Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4pm (overtime available)

Salary: £38000 - £45000

Role Overview

The CNC Miller Programmer will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating Vertical & Horizontal Machining Centres to produce precision-engineered components to tight tolerances. You will work across our wide range ofmachines, programming with Fanuc and similar controls.
