Job summary

WF Tech in Aldershot is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join our precision engineering team. You will create and optimise CNC programs for 3- and 4-axis Hurco machines using OneCNC CAD/CAM to deliver efficient production and high-quality parts.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, GD&T, and developing tooling strategies. You will work closely with machinists to improve performance, reduce cycle times, and maintain strict quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC CAD/CAM Programmer.
• Experience with OneCNC is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of CNC milling and machining processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and within a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

• Create and optimise CNC programs using OneCNC for 3 & 4-axis Hurco CNC machines.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications to produce accurate machining programs.
• Develop efficient tooling and machining strategies for a range of materials.
• Work closely with machinists to improve program performance, maximise productivity, and reduce cycle times.
• Troubleshoot and refine existing programs to improve quality and minimise waste.
• Ensure all machining processes meet quality, safety, and engineering standards.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for creating and optimising CNC programs for 3 & 4-axis Hurco machining centres using OneCNC CAD/CAM software, ensuring efficient production, exceptional quality, and reduced cycle times.
