Job summary

Pertemps Bond is seeking a skilled CNC Miller for a high-precision heavy engineering environment in Dudley. You will own components from setup to final inspection, setting and programming your own machines and tooling to meet tight tolerances.

Role requires strong drawing interpretation and the ability to work unsupervised on large/heavy parts, with emphasis on safety and quality. Overtime is available and the site offers opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC Milling machining experience.
• Experience in heavy engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to set and program own work.
• Strong drawing interpretation skills.
• Experience working to high-precision tolerances.
• Experience carrying out own inspection/quality checks.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• Experience with heavy slinging, lifting and crane handling.
• Strong workshop safety understanding.

Responsibilities

• Setting and programming your own CNC machines and components.
• Producing large, complex components to demanding tolerances.
• Carrying out pre-inspection and in-process checks.
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Selecting tooling, work-holding and machining strategies.
• Ensuring components meet dimensional and quality standards.
• Working safely with large/heavy components.
• Working unsupervised and taking responsibility for your quality.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workspace.
