Job summary

Engineering @ 365 Ltd in Long Eaton is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join the machine shop team. The role involves programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components from engineering drawings.

You will handle self-inspection, develop programmes and fixtures, and look for ways to improve machining efficiency and reduce production times, while maintaining a clean and safe workshop and meeting production schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Experience using manual measuring equipment.
• Proactive in improving machining efficiency.
• Capable of self-inspection and working to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to required tolerances.
• Create CNC programmes, jigs and fixtures for new parts.
• Carry out self-inspection and monitor quality.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and setup times.
• Maintain production records and ensure clean, safe shop.
