Job summary

Pertemps Bond is seeking a skilled CNC Miller for a high-precision heavy engineering environment in Dudley. You will own components from setup to final inspection, setting and programming your own machines and tooling to meet tight tolerances.

Role requires strong drawing interpretation and the ability to work unsupervised on large/heavy parts, with emphasis on safety and quality. Overtime is available and the site offers opportunities for training and progression.

CNC Miller – High Precision Heavy Engineering

Location: Dudley
Hours: 8am–4.30pm, with overtime available
Salary: £15.50- £20 per hour

We are currently looking for an experienced CNC Miller to join a busy precision engineering operation.

The Role

This is a hands on, high precision machining position. The successful candidate will be expected to work confidently and independently, taking full ownership of their components from initial set up through to final inspection.

You will be responsible for:

• Setting and programming your own CNC machines and components.


• Producing large, complex components to demanding tolerances.


• Carrying out your own pre-inspection and in-process checks.


• Working from engineering drawings and specifications.


• Selecting appropriate tooling, work-holding and machining strategies.


• Ensuring components meet the required dimensional and quality standards.


• Working safely and confidently with large and heavy components.


• Working unsupervised and taking responsibility for the quality of your own work.


• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
