Sammons Group is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Setter for a permanent, office-based role in Eastbourne. The candidate will operate CNC milling machines, set-up and program, and assist with system assembly while performing quality inspections on precision components.

The ideal candidate comes from a precision engineering background, comfortable with Mazak or Doosan machinery, and able to interpret detailed drawings and documentation. Salary is DOE with a full-time, permanent contract.

Formación

• Experience as a CNC Miller.
• Experience reading engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.
• Experience carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision engineered components.
• Work with Mazak and/or Doosan machinery to produce parts to specification.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Carry out inspections and quality checks.
• Make program adjustments and offsets where required.
• Ensure components meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Minimise machine downtime and maximise productivity.
• Complete production documentation accurately.
• Maintain machinery and work areas to high housekeeping standards.

Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Miller to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating manual machines, performing CNC setting and programming, machine grinding, and part inspection. The role involves working on precision parts, assisting with system assembly, and supporting site visits when necessary.

The role would suit someone with a strong machining background who takes pride in producing accurate work and enjoys working as part of a skilled engineering team.
